Malaa is a wealth management app that has various offerings, such as expense management, budgeting and investment.
As a founding product designer at Malaa I played a key role in shaping its core user experience. I collaborated closely with the founding team to establish the app's foundation, including its information architecture and user flows.
My responsibilities extended beyond design. I actively collaborated with the Chief of Products in defining the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with both user needs and business objectives. I played a crucial role in establishing a robust discovery process, enabling us to gain valuable insights into user pain points and identify opportunities for feature enhancements and new product innovations.
Furthermore, I contributed to the development process by writing feature specifications and collaborating closely with the engineering team to ensure successful implementation. I meticulously monitored the development process to guarantee the inclusion of all critical features.
Leading the design team, I not only contributed to the visual design of individual screens but also ensured design consistency by overseeing adherence to our established style guide and component library. I spearheaded the development of our design system documentation, fostering collaboration between design and engineering.
